For those of you not quite ready to tackle Christmas, would you like to knit an item for the Samaritan's Purse Appeal? Rose King will be bringing patterns for children's gloves, mitts, hats, scarves, glove puppets, bags* and bangle bags. Double Knitting yarn and and a range of needles from size 3.00mm (UK11), to 4.5mm (UK7). *bags use both Chunky and DK yarn, size 4.5mm (UK7) and 7mm (UK2) needles. The knitted items need to be at County House by Tuesday 27th October and will be collected up to the October meeting.

We will be making a Pop-up Box greetings card, this card lays flat in the envelope, when opened a pretty bunch of flowers are released. Requirements; A4 card - printed or coloured on both sides, acetate sheet*, sticky tape, Pritt stick, pencil, ruler, scissors, piece of scrap card for bars, flowers cut from birthday cards, good quality wrapping paper or die cut* or punched. Janet, Pauline and Rose will be bringing a selection of die cut flowers, acetate sheet and their die-cutting equipment, please bring your own lightweight card. Barbara Green will be demonstrating. If you don't want to participate, bring your own craft or just come for a chat.

The inaugural session of our Craft, Coffee & Chat monthly meeting will be held at the Salvation Army Centre, Mead Way, Balderton, NG24 3GA on Thursday, 10th April 2014, 10:00am to 12:00noon. Please bring your knitting, card making, beading or whatever, to do while you chat and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. We will talk about what we do at future meetings, learning to knit or crochet, make birthday and Christmas cards, it's up to you. Feel free to make suggestions. Non-members welcome.
